Core Concepts#

Introduction#

Welcome to the world of QBCore Roleplay — an interactive city where every choice, job, and action matters. This guide will help you get familiar with the systems that shape your experience, from inventory management to earning money through jobs.

🧭 Targeting System#

The targeting system lets you interact with people, vehicles, and objects in the world.

How It Works#

  • Hold the F key and aim your cursor at an interactable object.
  • When the target highlight appears, press the right mouse button.
  • You’ll see a context menu pop up with available actions (e.g. “Search”, “Buy Item”, “Repair Vehicle”, etc).

Tip

  • Some targets only appear if you have the right job or item equipped.
  • Police, mechanics, and medics often have unique target options.

🎒 Inventory System#

Your inventory holds everything you own — from weapons and tools to food and phones.

Basic Controls#

  • Open Inventory: Press TAB (default key).
  • Hotbar: Press X
  • Use an Item: Double-click
  • Give: Right-click an item, select give
  • Drop: Drag the item off the inventory grid

Features#

  • Stackable items (ammo, food, etc.)
  • Item weight limits and backpack upgrades
  • Hotbar system for quick access (1–5 keys)
  • Context actions (e.g. consuming food, repairing a vehicle, showing ID)

Tip

If your items won’t move, check if your inventory is full or if the target container (trunk, stash, etc.) has a weight limit.

đź’Ľ Jobs & Economy#

Jobs define your role in the city — they’re how you earn money and contribute to the server’s world.

Whitelisted Jobs#

  • Police, EMS, Mechanic, etc. – require admin or city approval.
  • Access unique systems like MDTs, repair shops, and patient menus.

Civilian Jobs#

  • Taxi, Garbage, Delivery, Fishing, etc.
  • Start or quit jobs at City Hall.
  • Some jobs allow progression or promotions based on performance.
